Stainless steel 420 Round Bar, also known as UNS S41000 and UNS S42000, is considered a basic martensitic stainless steel. Comprised of 12.5% to 14.5% chromium and iron, along with trace amounts of other elements including carbon, manganese, phosphorus, silicon, and sulfur. After heat treatment, Stainless Steel 420 exhibits high mechanical properties.420 is a medium carbon martensitic stainless steel with good strength, reasonable impact resistance and corrosion resistance. It’s characteristics make is useful in medical, food, and petrochemical applications.it is magnetic in both hardened and annealed conditions.
Bhansali Enterprise is the supplier of 420 stainless tool steel in round bar, flat bar and plate in full lengths or bandsaw cut. 420 stainless steel is a higher carbon version of 410; and like most non-stainless steels it can be hardened by heat treatment. 420 is a chromium alloyed stainless steel, which is characterized by good polish, good hardenability with high hardness achievable after heat treatment. The steel has fair corrosion resistance giving this plastic mold stainless steel grade suitability for applications requiring good hygiene in industries such as medical and optical.
