316h Round Bar is a higher carbon variant of 316H making the steel more suitable for its use in applications where generate temperatures are present. Stabilized Grade 316H offers similar qualities. The rising carbon content delivers a greater tensile and yield strength. The austenitic structure of the material also gives this grade excellent toughness, rigor, rigorousness, severity, sternness even down to cryogenic temperatures .Grade 316h is an austenitic grade second only to 304 in commercial importance. 316 stainless steel contains an addition of molybdenum that gives it improved corrosion resistance. This is particularly apparent for pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments. 316L, the low carbon version of 316h stainless steel, is immune to grain boundary carbide precipitation (sensitization). This makes it suited to use in heavy gauge (over about 6mm) welded components.
